SVG FILES TO PDF
You will have to open SVG files, one at a time and resave as PDF format as the next step towards completing the process. In the PDF module upon saving, make sure you have the following settings checked and ticked:
- Convert Text to Paths
- Rasterise filter effects
- Resolution for Rasterization (300dpi)
Saddle Stitched and Perfect Bound publications have different requirements for the Cover Artwork PDF files and how they are saved and supplied. Ensure you have read this information before proceeding here, so you understand what you need to do.

When you are ready, commence with the saving of your PDF files.

File > Open >
Double click on Folder
Click on SVG book page file to open
Open
OR
Enter File Name > Open
File will open and appear on screen
File > Save as > Select File Type
Choose PDF (Portable Digital Format) from pull down list
Make sure the following settings are made and boxes checked
- Convert Text to Path
- Raster Image Filters
- 300 dpi
Save under same name as SVG
It will show the different file extension (PDF)
Do this for every file page in your book for Saddle Stitched publications (under 80 pages including covers)
Make sure they are in the correct order
For Perfect Bound publications save all internal pages as single PDFs. As mentioned above, your cover artwork is treated differently.
